A group of animals rebel against the farmer and create an utopia. This is an observant allegory into government and the dangers of dictatorship. The book is relevant in our current society as well. There is always a ruling class and laws are made, changed, and eliminated in favor of the ruling class. Whether it be men, pigs, or whoever at the top, there is not a big difference for those of us underneath. As a short novella, it is a fast read but also an obligatory read for the disillusioned citizens.
